Shibuya Scramble Crossing and surrounding buildings viewed from Shibuya Sky

Shibuya Sky
Tickets.

Shibuya Sky tickets reserve a date and entry time for the observatory above Shibuya Scramble Square. Start by choosing when you want to see Tokyo, then compare the operator’s ticket portal with a clearly identified booking platform. Rooftop access depends on weather: a confirmed ticket does not guarantee an open roof or a visible Mount Fuji.

Timed entry and release

How booking works.

Use the two-week calendar

The official ticket page currently sells dates up to two weeks ahead. Klook’s listing states that its release begins at 00:00 Japan Standard Time two weeks before the visit. Recheck the selected channel before setting a reminder; an unreleased date is not the same as a sold-out date.

Match the ticket to the visitor

Check the date, entry window, party size and age or school category before payment. Read the actual seller’s amendment and cancellation terms. Klook’s current instructions require a mobile voucher and passport, with possible identity checks.

Treat admission and extras separately

Standard admission covers the observatory experience, including the indoor SKY GALLERY and outdoor SKY STAGE when open. Reserved THE ROOF sofa seating is a separate seasonal product; food, drinks and photo purchases are not automatically included.

Do not rely on a walk-up rescue

The operator says that sold-out adult web inventory also means sold-out adult counter inventory. Compare genuinely available dates or time windows instead of travelling to the desk expecting a hidden allocation.

What to expect

The crossing below. Tokyo beyond.

Tokyo from 229 metres

Look down toward Shibuya Scramble Crossing and out across the city from the observatory above the station. The 360-degree panorama puts the neighbourhood in context, with Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree among the landmarks to look for. Distant Mount Fuji is a possibility only when visibility allows.

An indoor gallery and an outdoor roof

SKY GATE is the transition through the building, SKY GALLERY is the indoor viewing space on the 46th floor, and SKY STAGE is the open-air roof. They are parts of one observatory experience, not three separate buildings. Outdoor access remains subject to the operator’s safety decisions.

Room in the day, not another rushed stop

Allow around 90 minutes for the observatory as a planning estimate, plus time to find reception and use the lockers. GO TOKYO says there is no fixed stay limit during operating hours. A drink, a professional photograph or reserved seasonal sofa seating is a separate purchase unless your chosen product explicitly includes it.

Plan the visit: light, weather, arrival.

Choose daylight, sunset or night by the date’s actual sunset; the 15:00 price change does not make later entry a sunset ticket. Our best time guide covers it.

The roof can close for strong wind, rain, snow or lightning, and indoor access differs. Read weather, lockers and rooftop rules before you go.

Reception is on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square; restricted belongings go in 46th-floor lockers. See Shibuya Station to Shibuya Sky.

Standard admission covers the observatory; reserved THE ROOF sofa seating is a separate seasonal product, and food, drinks and photos are not automatically included.

Shibuya Sky tickets: frequently asked questions

Where can I buy Shibuya Sky tickets?
Start with the operator’s official ticket page, which links to its Webket checkout. Klook also has a Shibuya Sky listing. Noble Voyages is an independent guide, not the operator or a ticket issuer; check the date, seller and conditions before paying.
How far ahead can I book Shibuya Sky?
The official ticket page checked on 21 October 2026 sells dates up to two weeks ahead. Klook currently states a midnight Japan Standard Time release two weeks before admission. Booking windows can change, so verify the calendar on the channel you use.
Can I buy a ticket at the counter if online tickets are sold out?
Not as a fallback for sold-out adult tickets. The operator explicitly says that adult tickets sold out online are also sold out at the counter. Child tickets have a separate same-day counter procedure.
Do I need a special sunset ticket?
Choose a timed admission that suits the sunset on your actual date. The official price band changes at 15:00, but that does not make every later ticket a sunset ticket. Leave time for entry and lockers before the light you want.
What happens if the Shibuya Sky rooftop closes?
The operator may close the roof for strong wind, rain, snow, lightning or other unsafe conditions. Indoor access and rooftop access are different. Before entering, ask staff about the current status and your seller’s cancellation procedure; do not assume an automatic refund. GO TOKYO states that refunds are not given after entry.
Where is the Shibuya Sky entrance?
The reception and ticket entrance are on the 14th floor of Shibuya Scramble Square, directly connected to Shibuya Station. The observatory is not the same as the crossing viewpoint at MAGNET by SHIBUYA109.
Can I bring a bag, tripod or stroller onto the roof?
Bags, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, hats, headphones and outside food or drink are restricted on the roof. Store prohibited belongings in the 46th-floor lockers and leave large luggage elsewhere before arrival. Personal strollers are not permitted on the roof; ask staff about the limited approved loan strollers and lift routes.
How long should I allow for a visit?
GO TOKYO describes around 90 minutes as a typical visit and says there is no fixed stay limit during operating hours. Allow additional time to reach the 14th floor and complete entry and locker procedures. Follow your booked entry window and the day’s closing instructions.
