Ephesus from Selçuk: A Thoughtful One-Day Plan

Selçuk makes a practical base for approaching Ephesus, but a day works best when its distinct visits are planned honestly. Allow for transport to the archaeological site's entrance, walking across the ruins and a return from the exit.

Make the ancient city the anchor

Start with the outdoor site and leave time for its major streets and monuments. Add the separately listed Terrace Houses only after checking current admission and availability; their position and ticket terms are distinct from the general route.

Keep the town museums separate

Ephesus Museum is in modern Selçuk, not inside the archaeological site. It can be another stop if time, opening information and transport align. The Experience Museum, by contrast, is at Ephesus and currently appears within the Ministry's Ancient City listing.
